You must be this tall...er...short to save the earth.

Due to a recent accident we had to go out trying on cars. So here is today's review of car shopping: Honda only makes cars for teeny people and they have strange names for their cars; the Insight would have worked if the seat went about a foot further back but the Hybrid (a hybrid -sort of like naming your child "Human") is built to accommodate people who reach 2.5 feet tall or less.
The Volt is about as un-American sized as it can get. Caterpillars probably could drive the Leaf.
Ford makes cars for big sized people rather than elves and fairies but to get a hybrid means to get the high end/fully loaded highest priced car on the lot. (same with Chevy...but for smallish people). Prius (the regular one - er -2, 3, 5 take your pick) has this console thingy that takes up the entire front seat portion of the car (elves and fairies again) but the Camry hybrid seems okay and the Prius v is the biggest/roomiest of the bunch but pricey. So my final thoughts for the day are, "Only wee wittle folk with pockets full of gold drive cars that are supposed to be "green" and not a single one of these hybrid actually comes in the color green. More on this later. It WAS quite funny to walk into Toyota as two men shorter than my wife came up and I said, "I need to see if I will fit in a Prius." Both of their faces fell.

Sorry no helpful posts today.

We had our only car die this summer and had to buy a new one as well. While I'm nowhere near as tall as you, and Silpa is even shorter, we still had a difficult time making the "entry level" hybrids fit us.

I desperately wanted to avoid a SUV or minivan but wanted the flexibility they would provide our family (we hope to have a second child very soon). In the end we chose a Mazda 5. It has dual sliding rear doors, a 3rd row seat that flips up when needed and a cavernous rear storage area when the 3rd row is down. I also love how fully the hatch back opens - much more convenient than the prius.

We couldn't be happier with our car. If you can fit in it I would highly recommend it.

We loved our Mazda 5 until it was totaled.
